He used words like “political malpractice” and “incompetent” to express his puzzlement at the outcome. “How could they lose Michigan with 10,000 votes!” he exclaimed in an interview, and Wisconsin too, he added, where the Clinton campaign—though flush with money—put in very little advertising.
